Inky

Say it, print it, colour it.

Your child describes a picture, and Inky the octopus draws it as a black-and-white colouring page, ready for your printer.

How it works

Ten seconds of talking, then real crayons and real paper. Inky isn't a colouring game: it makes pages for your printer.

  1. Tap and talk

Your child taps the big red button and says what they'd like. No reading or typing.

  2. Inky checks and draws

Every request is checked to make sure it's suitable for children, then Inky draws an original page.

  3. Print and colour

Print it on A4 or US Letter from any AirPrint printer. Every page is kept in My pages to print again.

Pages that suit their age

Pick your child's age in the grown-ups' settings and Inky adjusts how detailed the pages are.

Colouring page of a smiling fish wearing a bowler hat, drawn with thick simple lines

Made with care for children

Inky is built for families, so it's careful about what it draws and what it keeps.

Every request is checked

Scary, unkind or grown-up requests get a friendly “how about…” instead. Well-known film and TV characters get a fun original alternative.

Your child's voice stays on the device

Speech is turned into text on the iPhone or iPad itself. Recordings are never sent anywhere or kept.

No ads, no tracking, no accounts

No sign-up, no names, no email address. Inky doesn't show ads or share data with advertisers. Read our privacy policy.

Grown-ups only for purchases

Buying pages and changing settings sit behind a grown-ups-only check.

Pages

Start with 3 free pages, then get a new free page every week. When you want more, subscribe for 60 pages a month or buy a page pack. Pack pages never run out, and if a page ever fails to draw, you get it back.
